The documents underwent a rigorous inspection covering the operational and maintenance status of the vessel’s navigation safety equipment, critical operating procedures, and pollution prevention devices (such as oil-water separators, domestic wastewater treatment systems, and oil discharge monitoring systems, among others). In addition, records and effectiveness of emergency drills, the ship-shore coordination capabilities for emergency response, records of shipboard waste management, and the crew’s familiarity with safety and environmental protection regulations all served as key components of this inspection.
